Minors go out yet again on score difference
MFC A Na Fianna 3-13 St Sylvesters 3-13 For the third time in four years we were eliminated from the Minor A Championship on score difference after being held to a draw at Mobhi Road. A unsatisfactory result from our perspective and a poor return for the effort by the lads and their mentors. It was a really great game with some top class play from both sides and good luck to Na Fianna in the quarter finals.
I was impressed at the number of players who thanked the management for their efforts after the game - 'Super' Ryan for his coaching, John Coughlan and the very dedicated Brendan Carney, Dave McBride, John McCann and Marcus Hamill who put in a huge amount of effort (as do every minor team management every year).
