Nicole Owens - Croke Park Hotel Player of the Month
Congratulations to St Sylvester's sharp shooter Nicole Owens who
today was announced as the Croke Park Hotel Player of the Month for June
Owens was in outstanding form for Dublin throughout their recent U21
Championship winning campaign with the speedy corner forward accruing
an amazing 11 goals and 12 points in just four games.
The Malahide ace sensationally scored three hat tricks in a row
against Tyrone, Cork and Meath !!
Her impressive score sheet tallies read as follows, versus Louth
2-03, versus Tyrone 3-06, in the semi-final versus Cork 3-03 and in
the All- Ireland final versus Meath, Owens scored 3-00.
Owens picked up a hand injury in the All-Ireland win over Meath
subsequently missing out on Dublin's two TG4 Senior Championship
victories over Kildare and Westmeath.
Dublin manager, Gregory McGonigle received a welcomed boost earlier
this week when Owens returned to full training and will be a major
asset to Dublin in terms of attacking options for this Sunday's TG4
Leinster Final versus Laois.
