Owen Bannigan RIP (Gabriel's brother)
It was a great shock to hear the sudden passing of Owen Bannigan in Monaghan yesterday. Owen was a brother of Gabriel, our former senior football manager, a long time contributor to public life and supporter of the GAA in the Monaghan area. We would like to express our condolence from St Sylvesters to Owen's family and to Gabriel and his family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam usail.

Friday May 23rd suddenly. Owen, predeceased by his loving parents Packie and Susan and his sister Maura, deeply regretted by his loving family, Celine, Maria, Pauric, Eugene, Micheál and Aoife, brothers Paudie (Sligo), Gabriel (Dublin), sisters Patricia (Donegal) and Julia (Fermanagh).
Reposing at Ward's Funeral Home, Ballybay, this Monday afternoon from 4pm until removal on Tuesday morning at 10:15am to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Lough Egish, for funeral mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Irish Heart Foundation c/o Wards Funeral Home Ballybay or Carrickmacross.
