Second win in Four days for U15A footballers

Thursday evening last saw the fifth win on the trot for these lads. Having overcome a tough OP-ER team on Monday evening this was always going to be a big game. Na Fianna were indeed up for it, moving the ball quickly and tackling ferociously from the outset. Our forwards worked back into a crowded midfield and slugged it out for the first half. Playing into a stiff breeze we were happy to be level at half time (Syls 1-6 to NaFianna 0-9). In the second half . . .

. . . with the wind we moved the ball into the full forward line at every opportunity. This paid dividends with the lads adding on 1-10 and playing some of the best football that we have seen from them this year in the process.
Our last match before the summer break is away against Naomh Mearnog next Thursday 2nd July at 7.30. Hopefully we can keep this great run going and
finish for the summer on a high. However we cannot take anything for granted against our local rivals who no doubt will be keen to pull one over on us.
