Senior finish the league with a good win

AFL1 Lucan Sarsfields 1-10 St Sylvesters 0-16 Four points to one down after ten minutes, we got on top around half back and midfield and quicker ball in to Conor and Niall yielded a string of good points to give us a temporary lead. A few mistakes at the back gave up a converted penalty and two points and we trailed by two for about 20 minutes over the break. We dominated the second half and made plenty of chances but it still took a long time to recapture the lead with a string of Coughlan and Meaney points and we weathered a late Lucan charge that yielded three points with some excellent defense.

Conor was back in good form at fullback, supported well by Fionn and John. Dominick recovered from a few shakes in the first half anf was very assured under pressure, Ross, as usual, was the engine that drove us forward, well supported by Jack, Rocky had a very busy gave, supporting everyone, Ronoan hit a beautiful point late on, Gary had some great carries and while his shooting was a little off he did win a lot of frees that he and Niall converted. Alan Foy made a telling late cameo and caused Lucan lots of problems and the inside line of Conor and Niall had a good day at the office.

Much more encouraging display, timely with the championship against Castlenock in two weeks time in Parnell Park.

Hopefully our walking wounded will be fit in time.
