Seniors lose to Maurs in lively game
AFL1 We lost by 4 points I think in a high scoring game. Disappointing to lose a very open competitive game against a Maurs team that are pushing hard to make the league play-offs. The lead changed hands a few times and we looked the stronger team in the first half but didn't convert enough in scores. Maurs upped the pace in the second half and a couple of goals gave them a good lead going into the final stages.
Micháel did have a good goal effort blocked by the keeper and Niall Coughlan hit a thundering shot off the post after a determined run but we just couldn't quite catch them at the end.
