Syls Junior Girls put in a great performance last night in the Championship V Ballyboden Wanders in Ballyboden. While the Malahide girls were very short on numbers and did not win this game it was probably the best game they ever played. Syls playing with the wind ended up 3-7 to 0-5 behind at half time. Ironically despite the scoreline Syls had actually played some good football in the first half.
The second half saw syls stage an amazing comeback scoring 3-3 to 0-6 for Ballyboden, this time Syls playing against a very strong wind. With two minutes to go the score was Wanders 3-11 Syls 3-8 and Syls in all out attack on the Ballyboden goal looking as though they might equalize. However the home team managed to break down to the syls goal in the final minute to get two late points making it final score Ballyboden Wanders 3-13 Syls 3-08. After taking some heavy beatings in the last couple of years this team is beginning to gel together. It is not all about winning but about getting the best possible performance out of the girls.

They are back in Championship action next week with a home game V St. Finnians on Monday 27th July 2015 in Broomfield  and an away game V Wild Geese on Wednesday 29 July 2015. Syls Cailiní Abu.
