Sylvester Juvenile Freestyle Hurling competition - to win 2 tickets to All Ireland Hurling Final Replay!

Many of you will have admired the fantastic skills on display in the GAA/GPA run Freestyle Hurling competitions over the past two years which have allowed people to showcase a variety of skills and tricks using their hurl, sliotar and even different body parts.

These competitions and the interest they have generated have further enhanced the view of hurling as the most skilful sport there is. Similarly, people have being buzzing since the drawn All Ireland Hurling final last Sunday week between Kilkenny and Tipperary which has been described by many people as possibly the greatest final of all time with its dazzling array of skills and talent on display in the most intense of circumstances. Tickets for the replay are sure to be in high demand and short supply.

A generous donor in the club has now offered us two much prized premium tickets for the replay of this All Ireland on Saturday 27th September next, to go to the winner of our very own St. Sylvesters juvenile freestyle hurling competition.

The competition is open to all Sylvesters juvenile players - boys & girls - aged 16 and under (i.e. born 1998 or later)

How to actually enter:- well just like the official GAA competition, what is required is that the players submit a video of themselves performing their skills and/or tricks. The steps to take are as follows:


* Record a video showing off your Freestyle Hurling skills &/or tricks

* The video should be no more than 30 seconds and end with you shouting 'I am Sylvesters Hurling' into the camera

* Videos or links to videos should be e-mailed to SylvestersFreestyleHurling@gmail.com<mailto:SylvestersFreestyleHurling@gmail.com> along with details such as name, age, and contact details of entrant.

* If you wish to upload the clip to YouTube, or any similar video platform, that's up to you but make sure you mail us the relevant link (as well as details of name, age, and contact details of entrant)

* Entries close Thursday 25th September

* Winners will be announced on Friday 26th September
