U14A win away to Crokes

The U14A footballers had a deserved 6 point away win over the huge monolithic club that is Kilmacud Crokes this Saturday. Playing with a strong wind in the first half we turned with only a 2 point lead, we played terribly in the first 20 minutes, we forgot the basics and couldn't pick up or kick a ball but we settled and recovered from being 5 points down and goals from Sean Guiden and Danny Taaffe showed us that we could find a way through.

Riot act read we were a different team after the break. Our half back line carried hard right up the pitch, Josh Bannon ran himself into exhaustion and still won ball after ball, Eoghan Buckley closed out their danger man, what a player he is, Andrew Roe our captain lead us but Denis Smith and Danny Taaffe were immense. Niall Smyth poached 2 goal s and we rattled every piece of wood in south county Dublin before closing out the win.

Big enquiry into why we start slow again but any win away to a club of about half a million is good! Well done to Sean Mccabe who made his A debut today and to our utility man Conor Hoyne who does his job on every line he plays
