U16 Hurlers clinch the league.

In the end it turned out to be a bit of an anti-climax as a conceded fixture by Na Fianna on Saturday left the U16 hurlers with no game. The lads weren't complaining however as it meant they maintained their 100% record for the season and more importantly clinched the Div 5 league title with a game to spare.

But the champagne was temporarily put on ice and a training session hastily arranged because this bunch have their sights firmly set on more. In 2 weeks time (Oct 17th) they face Div 3 side St Peregrines in the C Championship final in O'Toole Park in Crumlin with hopes of landing an historic double. Either way its been a fantastic season so far for the 28 lads in this squad most of whom are in their first year of hurling.
