Under 16s on the double
Sylvesters Under 16 'A' & 'B' footballers doubled up on Thursday evening and won their way through to finals
in the 'A' Shield and 'D' Championship competitions respectively. The
A's played local rivals Fingallians in a high scoring encounter in front of a good crowd at Lawless Park and came through on an impressive
scoreline of 2-15 to 2-12.
At the same time the B's were in Bridgefield doing battle with Clontarf.
It was a tight game throughout with the momentum swinging from one side
to the other right through the game. But grit, teamwork and the great
sight of lads standing up to be counted saw us win through by 4-8 to 2-9 sending a good home crowd home happy.
Next up for the A's with be St Brigids or Lucan Sarsfields. The B's face Naomh Fionnbarra.
