Walnutt and Donnelly double act for 4ths
AFL9 A very impressive display giving the high riding 4ths their fifth win on the trot in Broomfield on Wednesday. Stephen Donnelly gave a master class in free taking off the ground, one in particular from the right side off the outside of his boot raisin a great cheer. Ciann Walnutt raised another mighty cheer when he solo'ed up the middle, took it on the return and hit a brilliant strike to the net off the right post. Sean Halligan, not to be outdone, nailed a free from outside the 55, a huge effort that came down with snow on it.
Shay has pulled together a right bunch of lads and is ably abbetted by the Mighty Paddy Quinn, McLaverty, Niall Halligan. I think I counted about 12 subs, a record for our fourth team I'm sure.
Great start to the season, looking forward to their championship opener at Maurs next week.
