Mixed weekend for footballers

Surely one of our poorer displays over the last few years, a weakened senior team was well beaten by an equally weakened Ballymun at Broomfield. We stayed in the game against the wind in the first half but about four wides when scores were on plus a soft goal given away left us five adrift. Ross was black carded (I've no idea why) and that upset us. A few good points by Eoin Fanning, senior league outings for David Sexton, Ronan Palmer, Mark Hazely and Mark Finnerty were probably our highlights.

The Inters had what was described as a battling draw out at Ballyboughill, we equalised in about the 6th minute of over time.

The Junior As made hard work of their win over Civil Service at Broomfield while the 4ths had a good win out in Rush.
