St Sylvester’s GAA club notes
The intermediate football team also under new management got off to the perfect start with a win over Whitehall Colmcilles. The junior football teams both lost their matches.
Our minor hurlers now playing with Scoil Ui Chonaill had their first outing as Clann na Mara today against Whitehall Colmcilles. We finished up a few points short but like all Tommy Naughton teams we gave it all we had. Well done to everyone involved in putting this together. We could sell tickets to watch Tommy’s training.
We had four players on inter-county hurling duty with Fingal. Kevin O’Flynn and Alan Morris started and Andrew Richardson and Kevin Mc Loughney both came on to play their part in the defeat of Armagh.
The intermediate hurlers start their league campaign next Sunday at 10.30 playing away to St Vincent’s. The junior hurlers are away to Civil Service at 12.00 noon. The minor A football team play away to Fingallions at 11.00am and the B team are at home to O’Dwyers at the same time.
It’s great to be back playing games.
