St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 15th December 2013

The senior football team just failed in their bid for the league title. St Brigit’s got the last few scores to secure the victory. It was a valiant effort and we played some fine football to take the lead late in the second half. Congratulations to Gabriel and everyone involved with the team especially the players who put in a long year of very hard work.

Gary Penrose is inviting club members to the St Sylvester’s Club Party on Thursday night. On offer are festive music and festive drink prices and the chance to celebrate a great year with fellow club members.

On Saturday night we are hosting a Christmas party for our senior members. Thank you to Gibneys for generously sponsoring this event. Food will be supplied by our neighbours Café Provence and the music will be provided by The Not a Bother Band.

We send our sincere condolences to Les and Henry O’Shea on the death of their sister Madeline.

Thank you to everyone who gave generously of their time and efforts to the club and our thanks also to our generous sponsors. We sincerely thank and send our appreciation to Panner, Enda O’Brien and Gary Penrose for your great service to the club over the year.
