St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 9th March

Sinead Aherne scored 1-3 for the Dublin ladies football team that drew with Cork in Parnell Park and remain unbeaten at the top of the table. Niamh McEvoy also put in an outstanding performance and Nicole Owens came off the bench to play her part.

Both our senior and intermediate football teams lost their games today.

The Annual General Meeting of the club will be held on Thursday April 10th at 8.30 pm in 2 Church Road. Notice of motions and nominations for the Executive Committee must be received by The Secretary no later than Thursday March 27th.

Next week the club will be in full flow with all the excitement of Cheltenham and congratulations to Pat McCarthy, a very deserving winner of the trip.

Paddy Miskelly is still looking for some male dancers for Strictly Come Dancing. Take your courage in your hands men and step forward.

Tickets are on sale for the Annual Awards Night which takes place next Saturday March 16th. Don’t be disappointed, book early, places are limited. This will be a brilliant night and a wonderful celebration of all that is great about being part of your local GAA Club.
