St Sylvesters Football 7's

The club is holding a 7 a side “Battle of the Generations” tournament in Broomfield on Sat February 1st as a kick off to the 2014 season and as a fundraiser for the club. Team squads will consist of 10 people, from minor age-group and upwards and is open to non-members, male and female and even non-GAA players. We’d like as many people as possible to play and certainly all eligible club players should try to turn out.

Entry fee is €10 per player or €100 per team and must be paid in advance of your first game.

If you are in a position to get a team together from your friends, neighbours or even your relatives, please do so. Even if you don’t get 10 people, we’ll help you fill it out. Don’t forget to pick a name for your team.

If you just want to join in, please come down and we’ll find you a team.

To keep things fair and competitive, any team entered deemed to be too strong may be altered by the organisers.

I am sure it will get competitive but the idea is for it to be a fun day with lots of things happening in Broomfield throughout the day.

If you don’t play, come down to watch and later to the clubhouse that night for the craic to hear about all of the heroics and, no doubt, the controversy. It should be a great day and an even better night.
