St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 16th September

The big one next week is the Intermediate Hurling Championship Final against Round Towers in Parnell Park next Saturday at 5.45. Don’t miss it. Next Friday night is Fight Night in the Wright Venue. Doors open at 7.15. It will be a really good night’s entertainment and an important fundraiser for the club. Please come along and support.

The senior football team move into the last 16 with a very convincing championship victory over Raheny. The full forward line of Dunne, Daly and McCarthy put up a very impressive 5-9 and the defence was dominant.

The ladies football team were in complete control in their Leinster Championship win over St Kevin’s of Louth. They notched up 5-18 in very wet and windy conditions.

The intermediate footballer team also had an impressive championship victory over St Margaret’s by 1-15 to 0-9. The junior’s lost their semi-final to a top class St James’s Gael’s team. They play St Vincent’s in a league decider and also have the Parsons Cup final to come.

We thank Malahide Credit Union for their generous sponsorship of our social initiative trip to see The Plough and The Stars by the Abbey Theatre.

The Lotto jackpot this week is a nice even €1500. Play and win on www.stsylvesters.ie
