St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 23rd June

There is football championship this week with the junior B team playing at home to St Brigid’s on Tuesday evening. The junior D team play away to St Oliver Plunkett’s on Thursday also in the championship.

There was great news for our Senior and Junior hurling team with both teams qualifying for the quarter finals. The juniors had a great win over Brigids and won by two goals. The seniors qualified even though they lost to Kilmacud Crokes by virtue of their victory over Naomh Barrog and they also retain their senior status for next year.

The senior football team put on a great performance to defeat Thomas Davis by 1-14 to 0-11 in the semi -final of the Vincent De Paul Cup.

Midweek fixtures are subject to change at short notice so please keep a look out for changes on the website www.stsylvesters.ie

The senior football team are due to play at home in the league on Wednesday to Raheny and on Tuesday July 1st at home to Kilmacud Crokes at 8pm.

The intermediate football team are due to play away on Wednesday to Clontarf and at home on Saturday to St Vincent’s.

The junior a football team play away to St Finbarr’s on Sunday at 10.30. The junior b team play away to Beann Eadair on Sunday at 12.00.

The junior hurlers play away to Erins Isle next Sunday at 10.30.

The minor hurlers are due to play Scoil Ui Chonaill in Broomfield on Wednesday and are away to Setanta on Sunday. Busy week of fixtures
