St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 5th May

Next Sunday May 12th we have the Audi North Sponsored Mini All Ireland Final in Broomfield. This will coincide with the sod turning ceremony at 16.30 for our new ball wall and the launch of our Buy a Brick fundraising drive to improve our playing facilities. Please come along and enjoy a great day of celebration.

Senior hurling Championship St Kevin’s 5-9 St Sylvester’s 2-14

Goals were the story of this game and we gave ourselves too much to do by conceding so many. They play Erins Isle away in the next round on Saturday May 18th at 18.00. The junior hurlers lost out to Oliver Plunkett’s in their championship encounter.

The under 14s gave their all in the Féile. Injuries hampered the A team who started well with victory over Lucan. They lost to a 5 goal salvo from Judes and agonisingly by one point to Kilmacud in the last match. The B team had two wins and a draw to go through to the semi- finals where they lost to strong Whitehall team.

The senior football team play championship against Clontarf on Thursday May 9th at 19.00 in Drumnigh. The intermediates play championship against Erins Isle next Saturday May 11th at 18.00 in Cloghran. Please come along and support.
