St Sylvester’s GAA club notes January 20th

The juvenile section ran a very successful fundraiser for CASA on Friday evening. All funds raised went to the local breakout centre in Ard Na Mara and were gratefully received by Mary O’Donoghue. There was a great attendance and Stephen McDonagh was as usual an excellent quizmaster. Well done to everyone concerned.

The nominations for the 2012 annual awards have been announced and published on the website. There are 12 awards, one for each team and the young footballer and young hurler of the year. Unfortunately, we won’t have a minor football award because the team are playing their championship final the day after the event on Sunday week February 3rd. Tickets for the awards night will be available in the clubhouse on Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th of January from 7pm to 9pm.


The nursery will be back in action next Saturday January 26th at 1.30pm with hopefully some calmer weather.
