St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 15th December 2013

The senior football team just failed in their bid for the league title. St Brigit’s got the last few scores to secure the victory. It was a valiant effort and we played some fine football to take the lead late in the second half. Congratulations to Gabriel and everyone involved with the team especially the players who put in a long year of very hard work.

St Sylvester’s GAA club notes December 1st

The junior hurlers lost their league final play-off to a very mobile Skerries Harps who got the first half goals that made the difference. There were some very good performances especially from the minors. Greg Hannon has a very competitive team here playing in his own image and likeness.

St Sylvester’s GAA Club notes 17 November

AHL6 Playoff semi-final Faughs 1-10 St Sylvester’s 0-14 The junior hurlers stole the show this week with a dramatic and well deserved win over Faughs in the top 4 semi- final. They play neighbours Skerries in the final. The Intermediate hurlers lost out on a top four placing with Thomas Davis getting the win they needed over St Vincent’s. Round Towers conceded today’s match to us but unfortunately this still left us just one point short. It has been a great season, reaching the championship semi-final where we lost to the eventual winners. The infusion of young talented players into the team this year bodes well for the future.
