Dublin Ladies in National League Final
Sinead Aherne scored 6 points and Niamh McEvoy played an effective game at centre forward when helping Dublin beat Monaghan in the National Football League Div 1 semifinal. Nicole Owens was on the bench. They now go on the meet Cork in the final. Both teams play an attractive brand of football. They played a cracker earlier in the season when they drew at Parnell Park. Support Sinead, Niamh, Nicole and the Dubs when they meet again in Parnell Park on Sat May 10 at 3.45pm
Another impressive win for the Ladies
The Ladies footballers contrinued on their winning way with another comprehensive win away to Clann Mhuire, The Naul, on Wednesday night, winning on a scoreline of 6-12 to 2-6. The mixture of youth and experience worked well again. Anne Clarke put in a player of the match performance, constantly making herself available for passes and taking up intelligent defensive positions when the opposition had the ball.
Ladies impressive in League win
Our Senior Ladies footballers gave an exhibition of open intelligent football against an admittedly poor Ballinteer St. John's team in their first League outing at Broomfield on Wednesday night, winning on a scoreline of 9-20 to 0-3. Our intercounty stars were in action in this game and gave exhibitions of how the game should be played, Sinead Aherne and Nicole Owens cleaning up in the full forward line and Niamh McEvoy giving a powerhouse exhibition in midfield.
Ladies win against Clontarf
Our Senior Ladies footballers got off to a good start with a Cup win over Clontarf in their first match of the season on a score line of 0-9 to 1-4. With a mixture of experience, recent graduates from Minor ranks and a sprinkling of under age players, this team played an attractive brand of football tutored by new manager Dave McEvoy who took over only last week. There were impressive performances from some of the older players like Jackie Costello playing in goal, unbelievably for the first time,

Syls u16 Girls – A disappointing end to the Championship ...
Timmy, Nuala & I had the pleasure of managing the Girls u16 squad this season. We didn’t participate in the League and only came together during the summer for a ‘crack’ at the Division 2 u16 Championship. As soon as the Leagues finished we got a group of 21 players together and started our preparation. All through the summer the numbers attending each training session were really encouraging. A number of practice matches (including a memorable trip to St Laurences of Kildare) and we were ready for Championship.

Jackies face Meath in Leinster Final in Carlow on Sat 13th 5.00pm
Dublin coming off a superb win against Kildare, face Meath in the Leinster Final on Saturday next. In the semi- final the girls played a fast, free flowing brand of football and dominated in both halves. The interval score of 1.05 to 2.10 somewhat flattered Kildare. Dublin conceded a goal in the dying moments of the half.
Second draw puts girls out of Senior Championship
Ladies Senior Championship St Sylvesters 0-10 St Brigids 1-07 A valiant effort by the girls getting their second draw in their first ever senior championship campaign but it wasn't enough to qualify for the knockouts. There was no doubt that Brigids were a top class senior team but our girls stayed with them to the end with the lead changing hands a few times in the final quarter.
